Terms, conditions and other information

In order to place bids on this site, please register by following the link at the bottom of this page. Please note that by submitting bids, you are bound by the terms and conditions that follow. Its all standard auction stuff, but please take the time to read them anyway.

• Currency: All estimates are given in US$, and all bids placed are in US$
• Registration: When you proceed to the registration page, you are required to furnish contact certain information, including your credit card details. This information will be use to generate your invoice, and also be added to our mailing list. Your bid is a contractually binding, and you are required to pay your full invoice within 48hrs of the sale close, or when you collect your items.
• High Bidder: If you are the high bidder at auction close, you are the buyer, and are contractually obligated to pay for and collect your lots. Defaulters names and contact details will be shared with other auctioneers, and any bids on future auctions will be cancelled.
• As Is: We take pride in presentation, catalogue descriptions, and photographs for all listed items. However ..... all items are sold "As Is, Where Is," without any warranties or guarantees, either expressed or implied. By placing a bid, buyers acknowledge that they have either inspected the lot in question, or obtained a satisfactory condition report.
• Buyers Premium: A buyers premium of 15% will be added to the invoice total.
• Payment: High bidders will receive an invoice by email with 24hrs of the sale close, as a pdf attachment.
  We accept the following forms of payment:
  
  1. Visa or Mastercard (no Diners or Amex)
  2. Personal check with picture ID
  3. PayPal, or
  4. Cash on collection.
• Sales are Final: All sales are final. Please make sure you know what you are bidding on, as bids cannot be cancelled.
• Preview: Preview dates and times are clearly given on the listing for each auction. While we do our best to provide good clear pictures, and accurate description and condition reports, bidders are encouraged to inspect items, and then bid accordingly. We are happy to provide additional reports for bidders not able to attend preview
• Bidding Procedure: Once registered, you will be prompted to enter an opening bid (this is visible to other bidders), and a maximum bid (this is hidden to everybody but you). Your bid is represented automatically until your maximum is reached. You will receive an "outbid" notice if somebody bids higher than you. You will receive at your opening bid if no other bids are received.
  
  You will be given an opportunity to review bids before they are logged. Please ensure that you have placed bids on the correct items, and that the amounts are correct, before you click the "submit" button. Bids cannot be cancelled once placed.
• Collection: Like preview, collection times are also clearly specified. Bidders using a courier service to collect should ensure that they comply with the listed times. We do not have storage facilities. Items not collected during the specified times will be deemed to been abandoned. No credit or refund will be given for such items. PLEASE ENSURE YOU ARE ABLE TO COLLECT OR ARRANGE TO HAVE YOUR ITEMS COLLECTED / SHIPPED DURING THE SPECIFIED TIMES.
• Shipping: Please note that we do not provide a shipping or moving service.
• Absentee Bids: If for whatever reason you are unable or unwilling to bid online, we are very happy to accept an absentee bid. Bidders using this service are required to complete a registration and online absentee form, and we will log the absentee bid online on your behalf. Your bids will be logged before the auction close, and will form part of the online auction.
  If you attend preview but are unable to bid online, an internet terminal is available onsite for you to register and bid. Of course registered bidders are welcome to use onsite terminals to place bids.
• Bidding Number: Your bidding number / password combination is unique to this site. Once registered you can use that combination to bid on any auction on this website without going through the registration process again. 
• Credit Cards: Your credit card will be automatically charged for your full invoice amount if payment has not been received by another means at the end of the specified checkout time.
