The Good Lord Bird is a limited television series based on the 2013 novel of the same name by James McBride, premiering on February 16th 2020 on Showtime. The 8 episodes starring Ethan Hawke as 19th-century abolitionist John Brown and Joshua Caleb Johnson as Onion were filmed in Virginia (including Church Hill, Rockett’s Landing and Belle Isle in Richmond, as well as Powhatan and Petersburg). This auction includes furniture and props used during filming at the various set locations, and items from the estate of prop master Steven H. George.
